‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’, which hit screens on August 29, is doing well at the box office and has received positive reviews from all corners. The Nani-led film netted an impressive Rs 8.50 crore at the domestic box office on Saturday (August 31) and emerged as the top choice of the Telugu audience.
‘Natural Star’ Nani has impressed the audience with his latest release Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, which premiered in theatres on August 29. The film collected Rs 9 crore on day 1 and helped the ‘Eega’ actor add another feather to its cap. It then collected Rs 5.85 crore on the second day, witnessing a significant dip in collections. ‘’Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ went on to have a good first Saturday (August 31) and netted Rs 8.50 crore at the domestic box office. Its total collection stands at nearly Rs 23 crore.
‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ is expected to witness a good growth in collection today (September 1) as well as it is a Sunday.
Ramesh Bala, a trade tracker, told The Daily Guardian that the terrific performances have worked in the film’s favour.
“The film features a good cast and strong performances especially from Nani and SJ Suryah. Moreover, the screenplay is engaging, ” he said.
It remains to be seen whether these factors help the film stay strong on the weekdays.
‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ is an action-thriller, written and directed by Vivek Athreya of Ante Sundaraniki fame. The film centres on Surya, a vigilante who fights against injustice on Saturdays and locks horns with a dishonest cop. It has a stellar cast that includes Priyanka Mohan, SJ Suryah, Abhirami, P Sai Kumar, and ‘Aruvi’ actor Aditi Balan. The film is produced by DVV Danayya, who previously backed the SS Rajamouli-directed global sensation ‘RRR’.
