The Mumbai Crime Branch announced on Monday (April 22) that they retrieved a firearm and several live rounds used in the incident from the Tapi River in Surat, Gujarat.

On April 14, two individuals fired four shots outside Galaxy Apartments before fleeing. In the Salman Khan Firing incident, Mumbai Crime Branch reports that the assailants, armed with two guns, were instructed to fire 10 rounds. Over 10 statements have been recorded, with further investigations ongoing.
Three new sections have been added to the FIR, naming Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol as suspects. Two accused, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, were arrested and remanded in custody. Salman Khan’s security was upgraded to Y-Plus in November 2022 due to threats.
