India’s cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar joined the Ganesh Puja celebrations at Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s residence on Friday evening. Dressed in a red kurta, Sachin attended the event, sought blessings from Lord Ganesh, and made floral offerings.

Union Minister of Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju also participated in the Ganesh Puja at Shinde’s residence. Earlier that day, foreign diplomats from numerous countries, including Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE, USA, Yemen, South Korea, Chile, China, Mexico, Germany, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Bahrain, and Belarus, took part in the Ganesh Aarti.

Chief Minister Shinde noted that a traditional Maharashtrian feast was prepared for the diplomats. “A traditional Maharashtrian feast was organised specifically for these guests. The ambassadors from various countries enthusiastically enjoyed the Ganesh Festival and also savoured the steamed modaks, which are Lord Ganesha’s favourite offerings,” Shinde posted on X.

Additionally, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his son Anant Ambani visited Lalbaugcha Raja to offer their prayers. Lalbaugcha Raja is a prominent destination for Ganesh Chaturthi worshippers, attracting thousands each year.

Celebrities like Shilpa Shetty, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal, and Esha Deol were seen offering prayers at Lalbaugcha Raja recently.

Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayak Chaturthi or Vinayak Chavithi, is a 10-day festival celebrating Lord Ganesha as the deity of new beginnings and obstacle removal. The festival is marked by elaborate home and pandal decorations, vibrant processions, traditional rituals, and festive chants, as devotees prepare delicious offerings and visit beautifully adorned pandals.
