At a rally in Tonk, Rajasthan, on Wednesday, Sachin Pilot, a leader in the Congress and a former deputy chief minister of that state, expressed confidence in his party’s success and predicted that the Congress government would win for a second time in a row.

Addressing the people of Tonk, Pilot said, “One who lives among the people rules the hearts of the people.” He also participated in tractor rides with farmers in Tonk to express solidarity with them.
During this speech, Sachin Pilot fiercely targeted the Modi government at the Centre, saying, “The Centre is now afraid of the atmosphere of the country.” He further went on to say that he condemns the Centre’s action in suppressing journalists.
“Journalists are interrogated by agencies and detained; this is an attempt to suppress the freedom of the press. The BJP at the Centre is now afraid of the atmosphere of the country; I condemn the action of suppressing journalists,” he said.

“The central government wants to use force and repression to stifle the environment for independent media. According to Pilot, the public has changed its perspective and is now afraid of the BJP government at the national level because they want to overthrow it. Pilot criticized PM Modi, saying, “PM keeps visiting Rajasthan repeatedly, but he never speaks on pressing issues like the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP). The BJP is engaged in a power struggle, but Congress is advancing with excellent coordination right now, and ultimately, Congress will form the government with a bigger majority than it has in years.
