Congress General Secretary and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot campaigned extensively in support of Congress candidate Deendayal Bairwa for the Dausa assembly seat. Addressing the gathering, he emphasised that the upcoming byelection is not merely about individuals or communities, but fundamentally about ideology and political parties. Pilot noted that voters have given both parties an equal chance and will judge them based on their track records. Responding to rumours of “match fixing,” he criticised those who propagate such claims, stating that they reflect the BJP’s overconfidence. He expressed confidence that when the votes are counted, Bairwa will secure a substantial victory in the assembly.
Pilot campaigned at many places in support of Bairwa on the Dausa assembly seat. After the meeting, Pilot reached Santhal by taking the Congress candidate with him on the front seat of the car. There, he drove a tractor amidst a crowd of supporters and accepted the greetings of the people.
Sachin Pilot said that the eyes of the entire country and the state are on the Dausa elections.
“Our candidate, born in a poor family, is challenging big names in the elections. Deendayal Bairwa has been working dedicatedly for the party for a long time. He is a strong worker of Congress; he has risen from the ground to reach here. Such a dedicated candidate has to be voted for,” he said.
Pilot criticised the BJP, stating that the upcoming by-elections on November 13 are crucial for understanding the ideological stance of the people of Dausa. He emphasised that this is a battle of ideology, especially with the BJP currently in power in the state.
Pilot warned that ministers and officials might exert undue pressure during the elections, but he believes that Bairwa will overcome these challenges.

He highlighted the significance of this byelection, particularly as farmers face ongoing crises that demand accountability. On the advice of various stakeholders, the decision was made to nominate Bairwa as the candidate. Pilot noted that Congress represents 36 communities and that these elections will be pivotal in shaping the future of the state’s politics and determining government accountability. He also inaugurated Bairwa’s election office during his visit.
Pilot also took a jab at Dr Kirodi Lal Meena for comparing his brother Jagmohan to himself during a meeting.
He stated, “I don’t make personal remarks about anyone, but the state government has failed to deliver on the promises outlined in the manifesto. The respect that public representatives from Dausa district receive under a Congress government is something the BJP can never provide.”
Without naming Meena directly, Pilot noted that even what has been offered so far is only half of what is deserved.
He questioned, “What does it take to gain respect? Is there no effort put into this? If one has to fight for respect, then that government clearly cannot honour the sentiments of the people.”
Many prominent leaders including Dausa MP Murari Lal Meena, AICC Secretary Poonam Paswan, MLA Rafiq Khan, former minister Mamta Bhupesh, former MLA Gajraj Khatana, former MLA Omprakash Hudla, former MLA Indraj Gurjar, Congress District President Ramjilal Odh, Congress candidate Deendayal Bairwa along with thousands of Congress workers were present in the election meeting with Pilot.
