Sachin Pilot criticised the BJP on Thursday for allegedly using central agencies in the Rajasthan elections to intimidate Congress workers. He voiced his concerns while speaking to the media at the Delhi Congress headquarters. He questioned the timing of the actions taken by the central agency, the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The ED conducted a raid today on the Rajasthan Congress chief, Govind Singh Dotasara, regarding his alleged involvement in a paper leak scam from 2022. Simultaneously, they summoned CM Ashok Gehlot’s son, Vaibhav Goel, to appear before the ED.
Pilot stressed that the Congress party opposes corruption and supports fair and impartial investigations. He said, “If someone is suspected with evidence, appropriate action should be taken against them.”
Congress president Kharge chimed in, stating that central agencies such as CBI, ED, and the like have become tools of the BJP. After using these agencies in Chhattisgarh, they have now turned their attention to another politically significant state, Rajasthan, as they are aware of their dwindling prospects in the upcoming elections. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fighting against the government’s alleged misuse of central agencies against their political
opponents.
