Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s influence on fashion has resonated well beyond elite circles, inspiring a group of underprivileged children in Lucknow to create their own versions of his celebrated designs. Guided by the non-profit organization Innovation for Change, these young talents designed intricate bridal wear inspired by Sabyasachi’s iconic creations. A heartwarming video posted by the NGO showcases these children proudly modeling their handcrafted attire. The NGO, which supports over 400 children from slum communities, shared that the outfits were creatively pieced together from materials donated by local supporters.

“These kids come from extremely poor and helpless families,” shared the NGO on Instagram. “After watching a new Sabyasachi video, they were inspired to do something similar, creating these beautiful designs from donated fabrics.”

Aspiring Young Filmmakers Capture the Moment; Sabyasachi Responds

The project also saw the involvement of aspiring teenage filmmakers, who shot the video to document their peers’ work. These young videographers, trained by the NGO, brought the display to life with skill and vision. The video quickly went viral, catching the attention of Sabyasachi Mukherjee himself, who acknowledged the children’s work with a heart emoji and re-shared the video on his Instagram.
