After announcing her upcoming sixth full-length album ‘Short n’ Sweet’, singer and actor Sabrina Carpenter has delighted her fans with a music video featuring her boyfriend, ‘Saltburn’ actor Barry Keoghan, as reported by People.
The music video accompanies Carpenter’s latest single ‘Please Please Please’, produced by Jack Antonoff. It starts with Carpenter’s character being released from jail, a reference to her arrest in the “Espresso” music video, and locking eyes with another inmate, played by Keoghan.
Throughout the video, Carpenter channels classic cinematic villains like Bonnie and Clyde while portraying the supportive girlfriend to Keoghan’s character in prison. However, their romance faces challenges as Keoghan returns to his criminal ways and associates with the wrong crowd, leading Carpenter to plead with him not to prove her right.
As the story unfolds, Carpenter reluctantly joins Keoghan in a robbery, leading to their imprisonment once again. The video ends with Carpenter taking matters into her own hands, handcuffing Keoghan to a chair and leaving him in an empty warehouse.
Carpenter’s new album, ‘Short n’ Sweet’, is set to be released on Friday, August 23. She expressed her excitement on social media, describing the project as special and hoping it would resonate with her fans.
The single ‘Please Please Please’ follows the success of Carpenter’s previous single ‘Espresso’, which she performed live for the first time at Coachella 2024.
