Each family who tragically lost a loved one in the disaster will receive a compensation of Rs 5 lakhs. In just three hours, Nagpur received a deluge of 109 millimetres of rain, leading to the inundation of thousands of homes. The Nag River and Ambazari Lake also burst their banks, exacerbating the flooding.

In response to the disaster, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has initiated relief efforts, including silt removal from affected homes and the distribution of food packets to displaced residents. Once the assessment is concluded, compensation and support will be provided to those impacted by the catastrophe.
