The Rajasthan Transport Corporation Employees Federation has once again initiated a protest, accusing the government of corruption. This protest will continue at the Roadways headquarters until October 5th. Employees of Rajasthan Roadways claim that the management is ignoring their demands.
The federation’s state media spokesperson and Joint General Secretary, Prakash Sharma, stated that the government is promoting privatization within Roadways. He said that due to this, they have decided to cease the operation of Roadways buses on the Ajmer route from Sindhi Camp under the name of Heerapura Bus Terminal. Sharma argued that there is no immediate need for a new bus stand; instead, employees need their salaries and pensions, which have been pending for two months.
Additionally, retired employees have not received their pensions yet. According to Rajasthan Transport employees, the salary that should be credited by the first of the month doesn’t come until the end of the month.
The federation has issued a warning that if their demands are not met by October 5th, both active and retired employees will go to different districts among the public to inform them about the government’s corruption.
