An Audi driver in Ahmedabad, allegedly intoxicated, caused chaos by crashing into multiple vehicles. The incident occurred at 9:30 am near Ambli village when the out-of-control luxury car collided with at least six cars, three two-wheelers, and eventually hit a road divider before halting. The reckless driving spread panic among locals, though no injuries were reported.
The driver, 41-year-old Ripal Mahesh Panchal, was arrested by the police. According to The Indian Express, Panchal appeared intoxicated during the incident. A video recorded by onlookers after the car stopped showed Panchal unconscious but bizarrely lighting a cigarette with his eyes closed as people gathered around him.

The traffic police stated that Panchal had “knowingly put the lives of others at risk.” An FIR was filed based on a complaint from one of the affected drivers. The complainant alleged the speeding Audi first rammed into his car near a showroom, then hit a two-wheeler, throwing its rider—a woman—onto the road. Panchal continued driving, crashing into a motorcycle, an SUV, and another car before hitting a mini-truck and a parked Mahindra XUV 300.
Panchal faces charges of rash driving, driving under the influence, and property damage. Additionally, two local policemen were suspended for alleged negligence in handling the case.
