Ahead of the scheduled Opposition leaders’ meeting, RJD workers in Patna made a striking display by proudly showcasing their party symbol, the ‘lantern,’ on the city streets. One notable sight was a dwarf man named Suresh Verma, who had a ‘lantern’ mounted on his helmet while sitting on the roof of a car. The car itself was adorned with numerous lanterns and featured RJD slogans on its windshield. In a separate development, supporters and members of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha gathered outside Patna airport to give a warm welcome to Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, who arrived in the city to participate in the Opposition meeting on Friday.Party workers with flags having party symbols on them were seen standing outside the airport. Many of them were also seen playing drums and rising slogans as well.

On the other hand, ahead of the Opposition leaders’ meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi will address the party workers at the Congress office in Bihar’s Patna. The two Congress leaders will visit the party office in Patna and address the party workers at 10 AM on Friday. Bihar State Congress office Sadakat Ashram will welcome the two senior leaders of the party. The party office is covered with posters and banners of Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and other leaders.

Leaders of Opposition parties from across the country are set to meet in Patna to chalk out a strategy to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. The Opposition picked Patna as a venue for its meeting as it represents the 1974 call of total revolution by Jayaprakash Narayan that toppled Indira Gandhi’s majority government.
