As parts of India grapple with a water crisis, a household has ingeniously found a way to reuse the water dripping from their air conditioner. A video showcasing their water-saving technique went viral, impressing many social media users and even prompting comparisons to Elon Musk.
The video features the exterior of a house with an air conditioner installed on the first floor and a cooler on the ground floor. A pipe connects both appliances, collecting the AC’s dripping water and channeling it into the cooler for reuse.
Captioning the video, user Ankit humorously referred to the household as “This is Elon Musk.” Posted on June 15, the video has garnered nearly three million views, along with numerous likes and comments applauding the clever idea.
