At the recent Reliance Annual General Meeting (AGM), Mukesh Ambani introduced the ‘Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer,’ a groundbreaking initiative set to launch around Diwali this year. This offer provides Jio users with up to 100 GB of free cloud storage, allowing them to securely store and access their photos, videos, documents, and other digital content.
Highlighting the company’s vision, Ambani stated, “The true power of AI lies in making it accessible to everyone, everywhere. With Jio’s AI Everywhere For Everyone vision, we are committed to democratizing AI by offering powerful AI models and services to everyone in India at the most affordable prices. We are establishing gigawatt-scale AI-ready data centers in Jamnagar, powered entirely by Reliance’s green energy, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and a greener future.”
Enhancements to JioTV+
Akash Ambani also introduced new features in JioTV+, an all-in-one platform that brings together live TV, on-demand shows, and apps. The upgraded JioTV+ offers access to over 860 live TV channels, including leading channels in High Definition. It also integrates content from popular apps like Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Hotstar, providing a seamless and super-fast channel-switching experience.
“JioTV+ brings all your entertainment in one easy-to-use platform,” Akash said. “With JioTV+, you get the best of live TV, on-demand shows, and app content—all in one place, optimized for a superior viewing experience.”
Introducing Jio Phonecall AI
Akash Ambani also unveiled the new Jio Phonecall AI, a service designed to make AI as accessible as making a phone call. “Jio Phonecall AI allows users to record, store, and transcribe phone calls in the Jio Cloud,” he explained. “This service can automatically convert voice to text, summarize calls, and even translate conversations into different languages, making important voice conversations searchable, shareable, and understandable across languages.”
