Well known Indian actor, politician, and television host Ravi Kishan is known well for his roles in Hindi and Bhojpuri films. He recently shared some shocking facts about his experience on the casting couch of the movie business in a podcast.
He acknowledged, “Such situations occur in every industry and profession. You are young and fit, skinny, and attractive, and you don’t have any money. You struggle, you have little, and people frequently try to take advantage of you.” He added that he has also experienced these kinds of situations. We all know it’s a standard practice in the film industry.
Speaking about his outstanding work in Laapataa Ladies, which was indeed one of the biggest hits for the year 2023 and selected as India’s official submission for the Best International Feature Film at 97th Academy Awards Kishan spoke about giving himself completely to making every role seem genuine. He portrays a police officer named Manohar in the movie where he gives a captivating show and leaves an indelible mark. Moreover, he remembers experiencing with a Bihar police officer whose body language and posture have largely influenced his characterization for this role.
He shares behind the scenes of Laapataa Ladies. In giving his character more he also chewed about 160 paans because he did chewing paans while he could talk. When his director Kiran Rao first conceived the idea of talking, including food in a dialog sequence, the entire Paan concept came from and also became a characteristic part of his character.
