As Mumbai prepares for Phase 5 of Lok Sabha polling on May 20, industrialist Ratan Tata and Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar have urged citizens to vote responsibly. Ratan Tata’s message, posted on social media, encourages Mumbaikars to exercise their voting rights.

Commissioner Phansalkar emphasized the importance of voting, reminding residents that while there are numerous long weekends in a year, the chance to vote comes only every five years.

Additionally, Bollywood actor Salman Khan also urged people to vote, stating that he never misses exercising and will definitely vote on May 20. He emphasized not troubling the nation and cheered for “Bharat Mata.”

The Lok Sabha elections in Mumbai will cover six seats: Mumbai North, Mumbai North West, Mumbai North East, Mumbai North Central, Mumbai South, and Mumbai South Central. Other constituencies in Maharashtra participating in Phase 5 include Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Kalyan, Palghar, Bhiwandi, and Thane.

Maharashtra has 48 Lok Sabha seats, making it the second-largest after Uttar Pradesh. The ongoing Lok Sabha elections are being conducted in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, with results scheduled for June 4.
