Rashmika Mandanna, set to star alongside Vicky Kaushal in the upcoming film Chhava, talked about her experience working with him. In the movie, Vicky portrays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika plays his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale.

Rashmika said, “We had the blast shooting for Chhava. We have been keeping Chhava very hush hush because we want to package it beautifully for all of you. But I had a blast working with Vicky and today I am walking with him, which made it more special. We have something very exciting for you. Look forward to it.”

On Wednesday, Rashmika and Vicky turned muse for renowned designers Falguni Shane Peacock. Rashmika made a striking impression in a beautiful ivory lehenga embellished with detailed sequins and beadwork. The lehenga had a drop-beaded shoulder design on the blouse and was paired with a flowing long veil. Her look was finished with loose, flowing hair and smoky eye makeup that accentuated her natural beauty. Traditional jewellery, including a delicate mang teeka, and hath panja, added a touch of timeless elegance to her outfit.

On the other hand, Vicky exuded a regal presence in a pale golden dust sherwani, intricately decorated with heavy sequined embroidery. He completed the look with powder-golden ivory pants and matching loafers, achieving a refined and elegant appearance that radiated luxury and sophistication.

Falguni Shane Peacock, marking two decades of transforming Indian couture, presented their latest collection, Rang Mahal, as the event’s centrepiece. The grand finale of India Couture Week featured a blend of classical and Bollywood musical elements, adding to its splendour.

The collection honoured India’s cultural heritage with detailed designs and opulent fabrics, meticulously crafted by master artisans from the Falguni Shane Peacock atelier and skilled weavers at Swadesh. The event transcended a typical fashion show, offering a sensory experience that started with a lilac-themed contemporary dance and sitara performance. The presentation of Falguni and Shane’s couture was enchanting, while the evening was further energised by a live concert featuring modern renditions of popular Bollywood songs, adding a vibrant musical touch to the runway experience.

The bridal collection segment was especially captivating, with models showcasing the designs to live performances of popular songs like ‘Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera’ from Swades, along with hits such as ‘Mast Magan’, ‘Tere Hawale’, and ‘Peer Vi Tu’. Rashmika and Vicky, as the highlight of the show, walked the runway to the evocative melodies of ‘Tere Bina’ from Guru and ‘Ve Haaniya*, delivering a memorable conclusion to the couture week.
