Rajasthan Ratnakar, an organisation of Rajasthani community in Delhi, hosted the Diwali Mangal Milan fair at a local ground. On the first day, notable guests including Chandni Chowk MP Praveen Khandelwal and National Safai Karamchari Commission Chairman M. Venkatesan visited the fair, accompanied by Delhi Police and administrative officials. Rajendra Gupta, Chairman of Rajasthan Ratnakar, announced that this year’s two-day fair marks the organisation’s golden 50th anniversary, featuring special attractions like an idol of Ram Lalla from Ayodhya. The fair also showcased beautiful tableaux of various deities, including Banke Bihari Ji and Salasar Hanuman Ji, which drew significant attention. Gupta emphasised the fair›s cleanliness and eco-friendliness, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi›s vision. Smoke-producing items and firecrackers were prohibited, and the venue was adorned with wall-to-wall carpets and an attractive flower rangoli at the entrance.
Shankar Jaipuria, head of the organisation, noted that around 250 stalls were set up, offering a variety of Rajasthani and Delhi cuisines, captivating attendees.
General Secretary Sumit Gupta credited the fair’s success to the collaboration of various leaders and officials, including past heads and founder members.
The event also featured vibrant cultural performances by Harivansh and friends, along with numerous attractions for women, youth, and children, creating a festive atmosphere that continued late into the night.
