Sachin Pilot, a former deputy chief minister of Rajasthan, put in his nomination from the Tonk assembly constituency on Tuesday for the upcoming state elections. Prior to submitting his nomination paperwork, Pilot prayed at the temple of Bhuteshwar Mahadev. Later, he led his supporters in a procession from Tonk City’s Bada Kuan to Patel Chowk.

Voters will cast ballots for the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly on November 25 and the results will be tallied on December 3. The BJP has not yet revealed its opponent for Pilot. November 6 is the deadline for submitting nominations.

In the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections, Pilot ran from Tonk and defeated Yoonus Khan of the BJP by a margin of more than 54,000 votes.
