The BJP’s top officials here on Saturday to discuss the impending assembly election in Rajasthan, ahead of the party’s central election committee meeting.

The central election committee meeting of the party is scheduled for Sunday.

This comes only days after Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J P Nadda attended late-night meetings with the party’s Rajasthan leadership in Jaipur last Wednesday.

According to sources, the party’s Alwar MP Balak Nath met Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi at his residence here on Saturday. Joshi was just named the party’s in-charge of elections in Rajasthan.

After some time, Union minister Arjun Ram Meghwal arrived at Joshi’s residence, and their meeting lasted approximately three hours, according to reports.

Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje paid a visit to Joshi shortly after Meghwal departed his residence. Joshi thereafter paid a visit to Nadda at his home, and the two parted ways.

Later, BJP officials Arun Singh, the RSS’s pointsman in the party, C P Joshi, the party’s Rajasthan unit chairman, MP Kailash Choudhary, Rajendra Rathore, and other leaders met at Nadda’s apartment.
