Chopped remains of a 50-year-old beautician, who had been missing for two days, were discovered in plastic bags in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Police confirmed that the victim, identified as Anita Chaudhary, was murdered by an acquaintance, with her body dismembered into six pieces and buried near the suspect’s residence.

Anita went missing on October 28 after closing her beauty parlour in the afternoon, prompting her husband, Manmohan Chaudhary, to report her disappearance the following day.

Initial investigations revealed that Ghulamuddin, also known as Gul Mohammad, who operated a shop in the same building as Anita’s parlour, was involved. Authorities traced him through call records from the victim’s phone.

Sardarpura police station officer Dilip Singh Rathore reported that Anita had taken an auto rickshaw before she vanished. The auto driver, who transported her, stated he dropped her off in Gangana, where Gul Mohammad resided.

Upon arriving in Gangana, police located Gul Mohammad’s home. His wife informed officers that she had been away at her sister’s house for the past three days. When she returned, her husband revealed that Anita had been murdered, and her body was buried behind their home. Authorities used a bulldozer to excavate a 12-foot pit, discovering the torso, arms, and legs of the victim wrapped in separate plastic bags.

Anita’s son alleged that the accused killed his mother after betraying her trust. The body has been sent to AIIMS for a post-mortem, and police are conducting raids across Jodhpur to apprehend the suspect.
