A railway ticket-checking team displayed remarkable dedication by reuniting four missing minor girls with their families. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Paramdeep Singh Saini, detailed the incident, which occurred during a routine ticket check on train number 22430 (Pathankot-Delhi Express) on Saturday.
CIT Amarjit Singh, stationed at Pathankot headquarters, received an urgent call from DSP Ambala, who informed him that four 14-year-old girls had left their homes in Ambala without notifying their families. To assist with the search, photographs of the girls were sent to Amarjit Singh.
Working quickly, Amarjit Singh, along with CC/TC Vikas, conducted a thorough search of the train. The girls were found in the second general coach from the engine side, travelling on general tickets from Amritsar to Ambala.
Amarjit Singh immediately notified DSP Ambala of their location, and the girls were safely handed over to the police at Sirhind station. The emotional reunion with their families took place soon after, with parents expressing their deep gratitude to the railway staff for their swift actions.
In recognition of their outstanding service, Sr DCM Paramdeep Singh Saini announced a certificate of appreciation for the ticket-checking team.
