Rahul Gandhi, a Congress MP, returned to Parliament on Monday after the Lok Sabha secretariat lifted his suspension.
Leaders of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A) alliance chanted ‘Rahul Gandhi Zindabad’ as they welcomed him to Parliament. When the Congress leader arrived to Parliament Housse, he paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
He also changed his X account bio from ‘Dis’Qualified MP’ to ‘Member of Parliament’. Outside the Parliament, Congress lawmakers were spotted handing out candy.
Gandhi’s membership in the Lok Sabha Secretariat was announced earlier today, following the Supreme Court’s stay of his conviction in the ‘Modi’ surname remark case on August 4.
In July, the Supreme Court issued notifications to the Gujarat government and the complainant in response to the Congress leader’s appeal of the Gujarat High Court judgment.
