After more than a month since the initiation of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra joined her brother Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh.
Priyanka Gandhi, who was scheduled to join the yatra last week but had to refrain due to illness, will accompany Rahul Gandhi as the yatra progresses through various districts, including Fatehpur Sikri, Amroha, Sambhal, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hathras, and Agra.
Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party chief, Akhilesh Yadav, is set to join the yatra in Agra on February 25 after a seat-sharing deal with the Congress.
Samajwadi Party workers, including Party MP ST Hassan, have extended their support to the Congress yatra.
The alliance between Congress and Samajwadi Party, with Congress contesting 17 seats and SP and its allies contesting 63 seats, is a significant development for the opposition bloc INDIA.
