Radico Khaitan’s strategic focus on the premium and luxury segments is yielding significant results, with 57% of its 2024 value stemming from Prestige & Above brands. Recently, Radico Khaitan, which operates distilleries in Rampur, Aurangabad, and a new facility in Sitapur, introduced its Sangam World Malt Whisky in India, following its global launch a year ago. Priced between ₹4,000 and ₹7,500, Sangam is a blend of various malt whiskies from around the world, including Rampur’s own Indian single malt.
The company’s managing director, Abhishek Khaitan, emphasized their commitment to the premium segment. Following the launch of Sangam, the company introduced Rampur Asava, a single malt whisky matured in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in Indian Cabernet Sauvignon casks, priced at ₹10,000.
Radico Khaitan’s portfolio includes several other premium brands such as Jaisalmer gin, Royal Ranthambore and Spirit of Victory 1999 whiskies, Magic Moments vodka, Contessa rum, and Old Admiral brandy. Notably, seven brands in its portfolio sell over a million cases annually.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Abhishek Khaitan discussed the company’s success in the premium and luxury segments, upcoming launches including a cane juice rum and a luxury mahua, and efforts to establish a trade body similar to the Scotch Whisky Association to support and protect Indian single malts.
