Jagdeep Singh, also known as Deep Singh, a towering figure at seven-and-a-half feet tall, gained fame on the US reality show America’s Got Talent. However, the former police constable has now faced legal trouble, having been arrested by the State Special Operation Cell of Punjab Police. Singh was apprehended in Tarn Taran district alongside two associates, and authorities discovered half a kilogram of heroin in his possession.
The former constable, who had left the police force, was recognized for his participation in Season 14 of America’s Got Talent as a member of the Bir Khala Group. Known for their perilous performances, Singh’s group showcased Gatka, a traditional Sikh martial art, and advanced to the quarterfinals. Despite returning for America’s Got Talent: All-Stars, they were eliminated during the preliminaries.

Beyond his reality show stints, Deep Singh also appeared in Indian movies and participated in India’s Got Talent. Last year, the group competed in the 10th season of Australia’s Got Talent, reaching the semifinals before being eliminated.
Notably, Singh was recognized for his distinctive vehicle, adorned with a Punjab Police sticker, adding an ironic twist to his association with law enforcement. The arrested individuals are expected to appear in court to face charges related to the drug seizure.
This incident raises questions about the unexpected paths taken by individuals who find fame on reality shows and the challenges they may encounter beyond the spotlight.
