On Monday, the consecration ceremony of Sri Ram Lala Ji concluded with full grandeur in the sanctum sanctorum of the divine Ram temple in Ayodhya. On this pious occasion, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh UT Banwari Lal Purohit and other Ram devotees present at the Punjab Raj Bhavan watched the live telecast of this sacred ritual and the entire Raj Bhavan became ‘Rammai’.

On this auspicious occasion, the entire Punjab Raj Bhavan was decorated beautifully with different flowers and colorful lights, which was a spectacle in itself.

On this occasion, the Governor expressed his feelings as a Ram devotee and said that along with all the people of India, I too had been waiting for this divine occasion for a long time, which has concluded with such grandeur today. He said that we all are fortunate that we got the opportunity to witness this historic moment in our lives.

For this, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and all concerned.
He said that the atmosphere of joy in the entire country today with the consecration of Ram Lala Ji in the sanctum sanctorum of Sri Ram temple is amazing.

On this historic social and religious occasion, the Governor prayed to Sri Ram that everyone’s life be auspicious and always be filled with happiness.

Pertinently, after the completion of the sacred ritual of Pran Pratishtha, a Bhandara was also organized at the Punjab Raj Bhawan in which the Governor along with all the devotees, officials and employees of Punjab Raj Bhawan and the officers of UT administration also partook and relished the prasadam
