According to Gaurav Yadav, the Director General of Police in Punjab, all four accused persons in the death of Head Constable Darshan Singh have been taken into custody by the police. The arrests occurred less than twenty-four hours after the occurrence.
CM Mann called the incident sad and promised to punish those responsible severely in a post on X on Monday.
The chief minister of Punjab declared that his government will give the family of the deceased one crore rupees, and that one crore would come from HDFC Bank separately. His message said, “Salute to the spirit of the brave policeman.”
