Haryana.
In Punjab, cases are increasing rapidly in Mohali and Jalandhar. With the decrease in the recovery rate in Haryana, the positivity rate has reached 5.13 percent. Corona has knocked on the doors of 11 out of 23 districts in Punjab. Mohali and Jalandhar have the most corona cases. In Mohali, 198 samples of the corona were tested, and 22 people are corona-positive. At the same time, 324 corona samples were tested in Jalandhar, of which 14 people tested positive for the virus. The number of corona patients has reached 65 in Jalandhar alone. According to the statistics of the health department, 11 patients from 11 districts of the state have been put on oxygen. “Our oxygen plants are functional. Our staff, wards, and emergency system are all active,” Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh said, asserting that “our entire system is fully geared up”. The minister advised people to wear masks while going out, particularly in crowded places. He advised immune-compromised patients not to go out and asked those showing symptoms of cough and fever to get themselves tested for Covid. Singh also reviewed the arrangements at the government-run Rajindra Hospital in Patiala.
A woman resident of Radaur block in Yamunanagar district of Haryana has died of corona at PGI Chandigarh. Cases are increasing rapidly in Haryana’s Gurugram, Faridabad, and Panchkula, where 98 cases have been found in Gurugram, 42 in Faridabad, and 25 in Panchkula.
There are 9 cases in Yamunanagar, 6 cases in Jind, 4 cases in Sonepat, and 3 cases in Jhajjar district, besides 2-2 cases in Ambala and Rohtak and 1-1 new cases of corona in Sirsa and Kurukshetra.
