Devotees of Lord Ram from Punjab have commenced their pilgrimage to Ayodhya, embarking on a journey filled with faith and devotion. The special train, known as the Faith Special, departed from Jalandhar Cantt station on Friday, resonating with enthusiastic cheers of “Jai Shri Ram” (Hail Lord Ram). The station was adorned with the spiritual energy of devotees as they gathered to commence this sacred expedition.
On this auspicious occasion, leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) extended a warm welcome to the pilgrims, presenting them with floral garlands. The atmosphere was vibrant with the echoes of cheers and the scent of devotion. Devotees hailing from Kapurthala, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot, and Gurdaspur regions boarded this special train bound for Ayodhya.
To facilitate the journey, the Northern Railways established a help desk on Platform 1, providing information about seat allocations and coach numbers. The station became a hub of excitement and religious fervor, with people lifting saffron flags and expressing their zeal for the pilgrimage. The entire platform reverberated with the chants of “Jai Shri Ram.”
The train, dedicated to this spiritual quest, departed from Jalandhar Cantt station at 8:55 AM, carrying the fervor of devotees heading towards the divine destination of Ayodhya. The station witnessed a continuous influx of devotees starting from 7 AM, eagerly awaiting the departure of the special train.
Among the devotees were people of all ages, from children to the elderly, contributing to the diverse tapestry of faith. The entire team of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was present to assist the pilgrims and boost their morale. BJP leaders and senior figures such as Manoranjan Kalia, former CPS KD Bhandari, former MLA Sarabjit Singh Makkar, BJP President Sushil Sharma, and Amarjit Singh Amari showered flower petals on the devotees, enhancing the spiritual ambiance.
Security measures were robustly managed by officers from the GRP, RPF, and the Cantt Police station, ensuring the safety of the pilgrims. The train made a brief stop at Platform 3 for approximately 15 minutes, creating a momentous occasion as it continued its journey to Ayodhya, departing at 9 AM.
The resonance of “Jai Shri Ram” echoed again at Ludhiana Railway Station as the Faith Special train arrived. Under the leadership of BJP district president Rajnish Dhiman, people welcomed the pilgrims with showers of flowers and rhythmic beats of drums. The entire railway station reverberated with chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” creating an atmosphere charged with devotion.
During this phase, pilgrims from Ludhiana also boarded the train bound for the revered Ayodhya. Rajnish Dhiman, adorned with a flower garland, welcomed the pilgrims and waved a green flag, symbolizing the commencement of their sacred journey. BJP members extended their greetings to the train driver, enhancing the collective spirit of the devotees.
The train, carrying a plethora of Ram devotees, resonated with the victorious chants of “Jai Shri Ram” both inside and outside.
This pilgrimage marked not only a physical journey but also a spiritual odyssey for the devotees as they embarked on this sacred and joyous expedition to the holy land of Ayodhya.
