The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red signal for extremely heavy rain in Pune today. Heavy rain on Monday provided residents with not just reprieve from the heat, but also caused traffic and waterlogging issues.
According to the IMD projection, Pune will have week-long rains with a small dip in minimum temperature on July 17-18.
From July 16 to 21, the weather is forecast to be mostly overcast with varied amounts of rain. On July 16, heavy rain is expected, with temperatures ranging from 23 to 30 degrees Celsius.
The next days, July 17-19, will be mostly overcast with moderate rain, with temperatures ranging from 22 to 31 degrees Celsius on the 17 and 18 and a little milder 30 degrees Celsius on the 19. On July 20 and 21, expect rain and temperatures ranging from 23°C to 30°C.
