The city of Pune was rocked by a grisly crime when a 47-year-old home loan agent, Vasudeo Kulkarni, was brutally hacked to death with a billhook by four individuals, including three minors, after he refused to share his mobile phone’s internet hotspot.
Senior Police Inspector Santosh Pandhare reported that the incident occurred around 10:30 pm on Saturday while Kulkarni was out for a walk near his home. The four suspects, including three minors, have been arrested under murder charges (BNS 103).
“The incident took place around 10:30 pm on Saturday night when Kulkarni, a home loan agent, was out for a stroll near his residence. The four accused, under the influence of alcohol, approached him and asked for a mobile hotspot from his phone. When Kulkarni refused, citing they didn’t know each other, they attacked him with a billhook, disfiguring his face and inflicting fatal injuries,” Pandhare said.

The police have arrested Mayur Bhosale (20) and his three minor accomplices in connection with the case. Authorities are working to uncover the circumstances leading up to this brutal murder, and further investigation is underway.
