The University Business School at Panjab University recently celebrated a significant milestone by organizing its Golden Jubilee alongside a vibrant reunion and Alumni Meet on Friday, December 21, 2023.
Prof. Parmjit Kaur, the esteemed Chairperson of the University Business School, in collaboration with Dr. Rupinder Bir Kaur, the coordinator of Alumni Relations, orchestrated the grand Alumni Meet, which took place at two prestigious venues, namely the Law Auditorium (Arts Block-IV) and University Business School (Arts Block III), Panjab University.
Distinguished guests, including the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, Shri DPS KHARBANDA, IAS, CEO-INVEST PUNJAB, graced the occasion, joined by notable figures such as Mr. Vikas Malhotra, Regional Business Development Manager at Pidilite, Mr. Kuldeep Kaul, Founding Member of UBS Alumni Association, and Mr. Anurag Aggarwal, President of UBS Alumni Association. The event was also adorned by esteemed faculty members of UBS, adding a touch of reverence to the occasion.
The program commenced with a warm welcome extended to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, and the esteemed alumni, particularly those celebrating their Golden Jubilee from the batches of 1971, 1972, and 1973, as well as the Silver Jubilee batch of 1998. Prof. Parmjit Kaur, in her welcome address, underscored the vital role of alumni in the institution’s growth and success, stating, “Alumni Meets serve as the lifeblood of the campus, and our alumni are the pillars of strength for UBS.”
Shri DPS Kharbanda, IAS, CEO-INVEST PUNJAB, the Guest of Honour, delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging students and alumni alike to embrace change and forge their paths towards success. Mr. Vikas Malhotra shared insightful thoughts on adaptation and continuous learning, emphasizing the necessity of hard work for achieving goals.
The event showcased the incredible achievements of UBS alumni, with over 50 illustrious alumni attending from diverse fields globally. The day-long event featured engaging interactions between current students and alumni, providing invaluable insights into the corporate world and fostering a platform for meaningful connections.
The cultural segment of the event witnessed spectacular performances by UBS students, captivating the audience with various dance and musical renditions. The Alumni Meet concluded on a high note with an atmosphere of camaraderie and a shared commitment to contribute back to the alma mater.
