The Promotion Committee for Educational Advancement held a meeting today to promote 44 principals to the position of District Education Officer (DEO) and 13 principals to the role of Assistant Director in School Education Department after a decade in Punjab. The spokesperson for the department informed that the decision was taken following the directives of the Education Minister, Harjot Singh Bainsl, and the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann in accordance with the guidelines.
The spokesperson further explained that the orders for expeditious implementation of promotions were issued by Harjot Singh Bansal, ensuring swift action on the recommendations of the Promotion Committee. The committee, led by Secretary School Education, KK Yadav, initiated the process of promotions for principals, DEOs, and Assistant Directors in the School Education Department.
The spokesperson also disclosed that the names approved by the Promotion Committee have been officially endorsed by Harjot Singh Bains. Bansal has directed the authorities in the Education Department to expedite the promotion process for eligible employees at all levels within the department. This move is aimed at recognizing and rewarding the dedicated and competent personnel within the education system in Punjab, enhancing the efficiency of the workforce at every level in the School Education Department.
