Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addressed a massive gathering at the ‘Vikas Kranti’ rally on Saturday. During the event, projects worth 1854 crores were inaugurated to boost development in the border districts of Gurdaspur and Pathankot. Kejriwal praised Mann’s leadership, expressing confidence that AAP would win all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab.
Kejriwal stated that Punjab had never witnessed such significant development in a single day, highlighting the commitment of Chief Minister Mann’s government to elevate every sector. Mann emphasized the state government’s efforts to create jobs for the youth, provide quality education, and attract more investment for the overall development of ‘Rangla Punjab.’ Criticizing the central government, Mann accused it of hindering the state’s development by stopping the share of the Rural Development Fund, affecting rural areas.
Commenting on Lok Sabha member Sunny Deol from Gurdaspur, the Chief Minister stated that after the elections, Deol abandoned his constituency. Mann accused him of being insensitive and lacking empathy for the common people. He also targeted Bikram Singh Majithia, alleging that his ancestors betrayed people after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Mann claimed that Majithia looted the state’s residents during his rise to power and accused him of spreading addiction in Punjab.
Mann predicted a 13-0 victory for AAP in the Lok Sabha elections, asserting that other parties would not open their account. Kejriwal highlighted the importance of having a government that understands and addresses the issues faced by the common people.
He commended the Punjab government for initiatives like free electricity, Mohalla Clinics, and job opportunities for over 37,000 youth. Kejriwal also praised Mann’s government for the Chief Minister Tirth Yatra Scheme, providing pilgrimage facilities to people of all sections of society.
