In the midst of circulating rumors about the much-anticipated ‘Housefull 5,’ producer Sajid Nadiadwala, through his production company Nadiadwala and Grandsons, issued an official statement urging media outlets to refrain from making premature announcements about the film’s cast.

Taking to X, Sajid Nadiadwala’s production Nadiadwala and Grandsons released an official statement, which read, “There are many speculations doing the rounds about the star cast in ‘Housefull 5’; we kindly request media houses to please refrain from making any premature announcements at this stage.”

‘Housefull 5’, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, is set to hit theaters during Diwali 2024, marking a significant cinematic event as the first Indian franchise film to reach its fifth installment.

The Housefull series, which kicked off in 2010 with ‘Housefull,’ included a star-studded cast featuring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal, and Boman Irani. The success of the initial film was followed by another hit sequel, ‘Housefull 2,’ in 2012, boasting an ensemble cast of Akshay, Ritesh, John Abraham, Shreyas Talpade, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, and Asin.

While the first two films were directed by Sajid Khan, the third installment saw directorial changes, with Sajid Samji and Farhad Samji helming the project. Subsequently, director Farhad Samji undertook the fourth part, which unfolded as a reincarnation comedy.
