Free tests available in Aam Aadmi Clinics in Punjab are going to be affected from now onwards. Krishna Diagnostics, which provides free test services in 500 Aam Aadmi clinics, has refused to provide services anymore. After which the AAP is facing scathing attacks from the leaders and legislators of the opposition party.
Health and Family Welfare Punjab Director has informed by sending an order to civil surgeons across Punjab in which it is clearly written that Krishna Diagnostics, which used to provide services at Aam Aadmi Clinics, had informed in a letter on 16 February 2023 that from 1 March 2023, they will provide NO Lab services to Aam Aadmi Clinics and Community Health Centers.
Along with this order, all AAP clinics, civil hospitals and community health centers have been asked to make their own arrangements. They have been ordered that from 2 March 2023, that is, from Thursday, all the collected samples should be delivered to the nearest government laboratory. Whereas earlier Krishna Laboratory itself used to collect samples from the Aam Aadmi Party clinic and send the results on the tab.
After the withdrawal of Krishna Diagnostics, the government labs are already short of staff and the test count is high. In such a situation, the additional burden of testing 500 clinics will also affect the quality. Congress’s MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira has targeted the AAP by tweeting. He says that the experiment of Aam Aadmi Clinic has started failing, as private labs engaged for various tests have stopped their services.
