On Sunday, a two-seater aircraft from a private aviation academy crashed on the Guna airstrip in Madhya Pradesh. The plane had been in the air for about 40 minutes after taking off around 1 pm when it went down on the premises.

Engine failure is suspected to be the cause of the crash. Captain V. Chandra Thakur and pilot Nagesh Kumar, both from Hyderabad, were injured in the incident. Officials from the academy and Cantt Police are on the scene.

The aircraft, owned by the Belgaum Aviation Training Institute in Karnataka, was brought to Guna’s Sha-Shib Flying Academy for testing and maintenance. According to Cantt police station TI Dilip Rajoria, both pilots have been hospitalized but are reported to be in stable condition.
