Malayalam film ‘Aadujeevitam’, which was released as ‘The Goat Life’ in other languages, had a strong first week. The film starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role made ₹100 crore at the global box office in just eight days.

Prithvi shared a poster on X, stating that the film made more than ₹100 crore gross at the box office worldwide. Sharing it, he wrote, “₹100 crore and counting at the global box office! Thank you for this unprecedented success!” Congratulatory messages began pouring in for the actor from fans, with a few of them claiming that this was the ‘fastest’ ₹100 crore-making film in Mollywood, calling it a ‘milestone moment’ for Malayalam cinema.

‘Aadujeevitam’ revolves around the story of ‘Najeeb Muhammed’, an Indian migrant worker who travels to Saudi Arabia with the intention of earning money to support his family back home. However, he discovers that his reality involves herding goats in the desert, a situation he describes as akin to living as a slave.

The film is directed by National Award Winner, Blessy. He won the national award in 2005 for ‘Thanmathra’ for the Best feature film in Malayalam. Thanmathra is a Malayalam drama film which portrays the effects of Alzheimer’s disease on the life ‘Ramesan Nair’ and his family.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran was previously seen in ‘Saalar’ (2023), an action Telugu action film directed by Prashant Neel. His upcoming movies includes Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and Vipin Das’ ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’.

‘Aadujeevitam’ was released on March 28 in theatres and has entered the ₹100 crore club within just eight days of its release.
