A 17-year-old student who was given an intoxicating substance was allegedly raped by the principal of a government school on Sunday.
On November 23, the principal led nine school children on a trip to Vrindavan, booking two hotel rooms for the female students. In one room, eight people stayed, while in the other, a Class 11 student and the principal allegdly stayed.
The student claims that the principal raped her after mixing an intoxicating drug in her food. He threatened to kill her and flunk her in the exams when the student resisted, according to a senior police official.
The child initially kept silent about the incident, but subsequently told her family members the full story, he claimed.
The police officer added that on Saturday, a case was filed against the principal in response to the girl’s father’s complaint, and an investigation is underway.
He stated that efforts are being made to locate the missing principal.
