That’s probably why Harry doesn’t get on with him.” He added that Harry is generally a “pretty affable guy” and would have done his job properly if he were still working with the royal family during an official visit from Trump.
Furthermore, Edwards emphasized the importance of respecting the US president, regardless of who holds the office. He explained, “You’re dealing with the President of the United States, a very powerful role. It doesn’t matter who’s the president — he’s the elected representative of the most powerful country in the world. He’s the leader of the free world — a man you should respect and cater for.”
Edwards’ comments follow a recent meeting between Donald Trump and Prince William. The two spoke during the reopening of Notre Dame in Paris, their first meeting since 2019. They discussed the US-UK “special relationship,” and Trump asked about Kate Middleton’s health and King Charles III’s condition.
