Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who married in 2018 and share two children, are reportedly going through a “trial separation.” Sources indicate that their relationship has been strained since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, with recent events underscoring their growing distance.

Harry marked his 40th birthday away from Meghan, opting for a hiking trip with friends instead of celebrating with her. According to ‘Radar Online’, a source claimed, “Harry and Meghan are going to live separate lives – and have a blueprint for doing so.” The couple has reportedly been drifting apart for some time, largely due to Harry’s desire to return to the UK and reconnect with his old friends, as well as his longing for the comforts of royal life.

The source added that Harry has been frustrated with their ventures into Hollywood, particularly with setbacks involving their deals with Netflix and Spotify, leading to public ridicule. This dissatisfaction has fueled a yearning for his past life in England.

Diverging lifestyles are contributing to their relationship challenges, with the source noting, “He used to love going to the pub and playing sports with his pals, while Meghan’s lifestyle in LA, focused on juicing and yoga, seems alien to him.”

Recent reports suggest that the couple is also navigating a “professional separation,” as Harry has attended ten events alone in the last two weeks, traveling to locations including New York, London, and Lesotho. An insider told ‘OK! Magazine’ that since moving to America, Harry has taken time to adapt, enjoying his newfound independence and recognizing that he doesn’t need Meghan as much as he once thought.

Royal author Tom Quinn remarked in April that although public displays of affection between the couple aimed to demonstrate their commitment, many observers felt these gestures appeared forced, with Meghan seeming to act as if she were still on the set of Suits, while Harry often looked uncomfortable with public displays of affection.
