Preparations are in full swing for the Brahmin Mahasammelan to be held on the occasion of Lord Parashuram Janmotsav on 5th May in Karnal, a pandal has been made in the old vegetable market of Karnal. There is buzz in the entire state as well as political spheres regarding the Mahasammelan. Member of Parliament Kartikeya Sharma has been diligently working to ensure its success. Sharma has embarked on a tour of various districts including Jind, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Palwal, Rewari, Mahendragarh, Yamunanagar, Hisar, Sirsa, Faridabad, Karnal, Gurugram, Bhiwani, and Charkhi Dadri, extending invitations to people from all walks of life.

Kartikeya Sharma said that ‘’Lord Parshuram is the God of 36 communities and all sections of the society will reach Karnal to participate enthusiastically in this Janmotsav program’’
Encouraging widespread participation, Sharma emphasized the importance of collective effort in organizing such a significant event. He reiterated his commitment to address the concerns of the common people, following in the footsteps of his father, former Union Minister Venod Sharma. The Mahasammelan, Sharma noted, would serve as a platform for the community to voice their issues and concerns.

Political analysts predict that the upcoming convention, given its timing close to the elections and the substantial influence of the Brahmin community in state politics, will have significant implications on the forthcoming Lok Sabha as well the assembly polls. It is expected that many leaders from the Brahmin community will attend the event.
Kartikeya Sharma and his father Venod Sharma, a political heavyweight, are actively overseeing the preparations for the Mahasammelan, aiming to ensure its inclusivity by welcoming participants from all sections of society. Kartikeya Sharma’s previous role in successfully organizing the Brahmin Mahakumbh in December 2022 has earned him widespread praise and support across the state which still remains in the discussions. As preparations continue and anticipation builds, Kartikeya Sharma remains dedicated to fostering unity and addressing the diverse needs of the community and the state at large.
