Uddhav Thackeray Urges PM Modi to Inform Parliament About Steps to Protect Hindus in Bangladesh

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address Parliament regarding the measures India is taking to safeguard Hindus in Bangladesh. Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Thackeray criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that their ‘Hindutva stance’ is primarily aimed at electoral gains.

Highlighting the troubling situation in Bangladesh, Thackeray pointed to the ongoing vandalism of temples and the violent confrontations faced by the Hindu minority community. He raised concerns about the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh, especially in light of the former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina seeking refuge in India.

“PM Modi should inform Parliament about the steps India is taking to protect Hindus in Bangladesh,” Thackeray stated, emphasizing the importance of addressing this issue during the ongoing winter session of Parliament. He further remarked that if the Prime Minister could intervene in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, he should also take action regarding the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh.

Thackeray’s comments reflect growing concerns over the treatment of Hindus in Bangladesh and the need for a clear response from the Indian government on this pressing issue.
