Renowned singer Anuradha Paudwal officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi.
Following her induction into the party, the singer expressed joy, stating that she felt fortunate to be joining the BJP.
Speaking at a shared press briefing at the party’s headquarters, she stated, “Today I am happy that I am joining the government that has such a deep connection with Sanatana. It is my good fortune that I am joining the BJP today”.
Responding to queries regarding her intention to run in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, Anuradha Paudwal said, “I don’t know yet, whatever suggestion they give me.”
The playback vocalist was awarded the Padma Shri in 2017. Additionally, she delivered a performance at the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22.
Paudwal joined the BJP in the presence of senior party leaders, including Arun Singh and chief spokesperson Anil Baluni.
