Sambit Patra Leads Massive Padyatra In Odisha’s Banpur

Amid the current Lok Sabha elections, Sambit Patra, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Puri Lok Sabha constituency, organized a large padayatra in Banpur on Wednesday.

He asserted that the BJP would secure victory in all 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha and reiterated the party’s commitment to forming the government in the state. Patra was joined by Prithiviraj Harichandan, the BJP MLA candidate for the Chilika Constituency, along with a significant number of BJP supporters who participated in the padayatra.

The padayatra commenced from the entrance gate of Banpur NAC, traversed the entire town, and concluded at Paltan ground. Sambit urged all citizens to “Vote for the development of Chilika, the development of Puri as well as the development of Bharat.”

He highlighted that the “support we are getting is because of the welfare-oriented policies being implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

ANI quoted Patra, “This time BJP and NDA are going to cross 400 MP seats in Bharat. The people of Chilika love PM Modi.”

“Similarly, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (Urban) has been implemented in Banpur by the central govt and people are getting benefits of the Modi government’s people-oriented scheme,” he said.

Exuding confidence, he said, “This time surely BJP will form government in Odisha as well as BJP will sweep all the 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha.”

Odisha is set to conduct Assembly elections and Lok Sabha elections in four phases from May 13 to June 1, with vote counting slated for June 4. In the 2019 Assembly election, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) secured victory in 112 out of 146 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 23 seats and the Congress won 9.

During the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) secured the majority of seats in the state, with the BJP and the Congress trailing behind. The BJD clinched 12 seats, followed closely by the BJP with 8 seats, while the Congress managed to secure just a single seat.
