Priyanka Gandhi slams BJP: For how long will you keep blaming Congress?

Launching an attack on BJP, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra during Ramnagar public rally had questioned the saffron party “that for how long it would keep blaming the congress, which has been out of the power since the last decade”.

What did the Congress leader further Say?

During the public rally held in Uttarakhand’s Nainital’s district, the general secretary of the grand old party scathingly questioned the ruling government. And said “For how long will you (the BJP) keep blaming Congress? Congress has not been in power for the last 10 years. For the last 10 years, they (the BJP) have been in government with a full majority; now that they say ‘400 paar’, they want more majority.
She further said “They say nothing has been done in 75 years.” “If nothing has happened, how have such skills developed in Uttarakhand, from where IITs, IIMs, and AIIMSs came into the country? Chandrayaan landed on the moon; if Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru hadn’t built these, was it possible?”

Launching further accusations

During the course of the rally, the congress leader further alleged that the ruling BJP government at the Center is exploiting the central agencies. Saying
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that everybody is corrupt; only he is clean. He praises himself. They are so busy using ED, CBI, and IT to bring leaders to their party and topple the government that they have forgotten about employment and inflation. Then, when the electoral bonds were disclosed, the issue of taking donations and doing business came to the fore. Now you tell me who is corrupt?”

Understanding the feeling of Sacrifice

During the speech, the congress leader also said that she truly understands the feeling of “sacrifice”. And without referring to anybody, she said “”No matter how much they (the saffron party) insult my family, we remain silent because they do not understand our struggle”.

While remembering her father Rajiv Gandhi, she recalled the time when she placed her father’s body in front of her mother when she was 19. So I truly understand martyrdom and sacrifice. “No matter how much they abuse my family and insult my martyred father, we remain silent because they do not understand our struggle”. We remain quiet, because we harbor faith & true devotion for this country in our hearts”

The Ramnagar rally is the initial major rally of the congress in Uttarakhand in a runner up to the Lok Sabha election 2024. Will later address another public rally in Roorkee.
Uttarakhand is going for the single-phase on 19th April and has 5 seats in the house of the people.
