Political Parties Ramp Up Campaigning Despite Sweltering Karnataka Heat

Despite the soaring temperatures exceeding 36 degrees Celsius, political activity in Karnataka for the Lok Sabha polls has escalated, with parties refusing to let the heat hinder their campaign endeavors. They have opted to conduct rallies indoors, taking shelter in the cooling comfort provided by coolers and fans.

During a rally in Koratagere, Tumkur district, attendees congregated in a large hall equipped with coolers and fans to combat the sweltering heat.

“Even as South Karnataka swelters at around 40 degrees Celsius, we’ve made arrangements for water, indoor rallies, and fans to ensure the comfort of our supporters attending the rally,” Darshan a BJP leader in Kotagere, Tumkur told ANI.
He further added, “Despite the heat wave, people continue to throng to hear our tallest leader, Deve Gowda, in the election campaign.”

At the rally venue, workers distributed water, juices, and caps. Both men and women gathered to listen to the experienced leader’s election promises and plans for their welfare. The event demonstrated the steadfast dedication of the electorate, keen to interact with their leaders and understand the vision for the state’s future.

As Karnataka prepares for the forthcoming elections, the determination of political parties and the electorate in confronting adversity highlights the importance of democratic engagement, even in the midst of challenging weather conditions.

Karnataka is scheduled to vote in the second and third phases of the elections on April 26 and May 7, with results slated to be announced on June 4.
