The Maharashtra state government on Wednesday, introduced a new scheme named ‘Ladla Bhai Yojana’ on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi. This initiative aims to offer financial assistance to male students who have completed their 12th grade, obtained a diploma, or graduated.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced this initiative in Pandharpur, ahead of the upcoming assembly elections scheduled for October.
CM Shinde said: “Under this scheme, our government is going to give money to the youth of our state to do an apprenticeship in the factories where they will work. This is the first time in history that any government has introduced such a scheme, and through this scheme, we have found a solution to unemployment. Under this scheme, our youth will get apprenticeships in factories and the government will give them a stipend.”
In reaction to the scheme’s announcement, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray said, “The government should give the entire amount for the year. The people do not trust the government. This is a ‘jumla’. The stipend will be given only to the skill development students.”
