Madan Rathore Hits Back At Ashok Gehlot’s Criticism, Defends BJP Government

BJP State President Madan Rathore has strongly countered the statements made by former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, accusing him of creating confusion and engaging in political rhetoric rather than playing a constructive opposition role. Rathore, in a recent statement, remarked that Gehlot, being a three-time Chief Minister, understands the working of the government but chooses to engage in political rhetoric.

“He only shouts and speaks without substance. As a senior leader, he should refrain from this. Gehlot has always tried to create confusion, be it about the Constitution or EVMs. He has no substantial work to offer. Instead of doing this, he should play a positive role as the opposition leader,” Rathore stated.

Rathore Defends BJP’s Actions And Public Welfare Schemes

Rathore also defended the BJP government’s actions, stating that they had not discontinued any public welfare schemes initiated by the previous Congress government. He explained that while the Congress government may have introduced schemes for political gain, it is only natural for the BJP to review such schemes.

“The Gehlot government left crucial projects like the ERCP, pending for five years. Upon taking office, the BJP government prioritised the ERCP project, completing the MoU and initiating the tender process in a historic move,” Rathore added.

Rathore Slams Congress Protests In Banswara

Addressing the protests staged by Congress in Banswara, Rathore commented, “Congress is protesting in Banswara and getting beaten there. They couldn’t even save their deposits in Banswara, Dungarpur, and Chaurasi. The recent elections have shown the reality – they have no base in these areas. Congress leaders are desperately searching for their base through protests.”

Gehlot Criticises BJP’s Governance In Jodhpur Visit

Gehlot’s statements, made during a visit to Jodhpur on Sunday, targeted the one-year performance of the BJP government. He accused the government of ending schemes, closing schools, and discontinuing the creation of new districts that would have promoted better governance and public cooperation.

“If new districts would have been created, the public would have benefited. The government ended the schemes instead,” Gehlot had remarked.

He also criticised the delay in the SI recruitment, alleging that the BJP government was deliberately prolonging the process after the paper leak incident during the previous government.

In response, Rathore dismissed these claims, reinforcing the BJP government’s commitment to working for the welfare of the public and addressing the issues raised by Gehlot.
